Practice Placements: Nexus Institute

The NEXUS Institute offers counselling placements to trainee counsellors to enable them to develop their skills through clinical practice. COPE – Community Outreach Project to Ethnic minorities

A new community project is being launched in style by Stadium Projects in partnership with New Life City Church and will be based at the City Life Centre in Northumberland Street. COPE stands for Community Outreach Project to Ethnic minorities.

The Northern Ireland Centre for Trauma & Transformation (NICTT) are offering a FREE training course on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in Belfast and L’Derry in June and September 2010.

This course is designed for practitioners working in the victims and mental health sectors voluntary and community in Northern Ireland who wish to know more about the impact of trauma on mental health.

Northern Ireland Supervisors

Northern Ireland Supervisors is a recently formed group of practising supervisors whose initial aims can be summarised as follows:

The Western Health & Social Services Board will be holding a series of half-day workshops in the Foyle area to introduce its Go Girls Resource Pack which is full of practical activities to help support girls emotional development and build self-esteem.

The half-day course is for staff from the Statutory/Community and Voluntary sectors who work with adolescent girls.
