Foyle Workshops: Supporting Girls Emotional Development and Building Self-Esteem

The Western Health & Social Services Board will be holding a series of half-day workshops in the Foyle area to introduce its Go Girls Resource Pack which is full of practical activities to help support girls emotional development and build self-esteem.

The half-day course is for staff from the Statutory/Community and Voluntary sectors who work with adolescent girls.

BACP Belfast Event: Making Connection – News, views, ethics and you

We reported at the beginning of April that BACP are planning to hold an event in Belfast on 2nd June 2010 (www.nitherapy.net/?p=529).  No venue had been set for this event, but we can now report that it will be held at the Europa Hotel, Belfast.

BACP Belfast Event: Making Connection – News, views, ethics and you

Are you keen to meet other BACP members, get involved in your local area, or to have your say about issues affecting the profession? If so, then this event is aimed at you. The event will have an outline programme, including CPD, a keynote speaker and updates on developments within the profession but a significant part of the content will be decided by you, whether that is a local issue you would like to raise and discuss or a national concern on which you would appreciate an update.

BACP Accreditation Workshop – Belfast

BACP will be holding an accreditation workshop in Belfast on 25th May 2010 at The Wellington Park Hotel.

It is a one day workshop led by a member of the BACP professional standards assessment team to offer information and support to those looking for help and guidance regarding all aspects of the BACP accreditation process.

UKCP Belfast Regional Event

The UK Council for Psychotherapy will be holding a regional event in Belfast on Saturday 13th February 2010.  The event will take place at Belfast’s Waterfront Hall and provides an opportunity for local practitioners to meet some of the UKCP Officers, to share experiences of practising in the area, and to contribute to developing UKCP as a professional membership organisation.  For more information about regional events, click here.

Reflecting on the self: Weekend Residential

This experiential weekend workshop is open to individuals who wish to engage in some personal exploration and development, through the use of art, drama and action methods. It aims to offer a safe, relaxing and inspiring space in which participants can reflect on themselves and their lives within a group setting.

Supervision opportunity for LGBT therapists
