BACP Belfast Event: Making Connection – News, views, ethics and you

Are you keen to meet other BACP members, get involved in your local area, or to have your say about issues affecting the profession? If so, then this event is aimed at you. The event will have an outline programme, including CPD, a keynote speaker and updates on developments within the profession but a significant part of the content will be decided by you, whether that is a local issue you would like to raise and discuss or a national concern on which you would appreciate an update.

BACP are writing to its members in Northern Ireland to invite you to contribute to the content of the Belfast event (scheduled for 2 June) and this is possible in three ways:

1) Pose a question/suggest a discussion theme – Are there any professional issues that are currently causing you anxiety or developments that make you feel nervous? Questions might relate directly to your work, local challenges or national policies. Whether these questions are discussed with your peers or posed directly to BACP, this is an opportunity to voice them. To submit a question, please CLICK HERE

2) Two minute platform – Are you involved in an innovative project or research? Do you have a particular area of interest? Would you like to address professional difficulties you may be facing? Perhaps you’d like to share a success story? The two minute platform will offer you the opportunity to engage with your peers by addressing the conference for two minutes on the topic of your choice. You will also be offered the opportunity to have a poster display board in the ‘Marketplace’ area of the exhibition during the event. If you would like to submit a two minute platform proposal, please CLICK HERE

3) Marketplace – The exhibition area will include the ‘Marketplace’. This has been designed to offer individuals and/or organisations the opportunity to display and promote innovative and emerging projects that will be of interest and benefit to your peers. If you would be interested in offering a stand in the ‘Marketplace’, please CLICK HERE

For any of the above opportunities please either click on the appropriate link (to be directed to an automated form) or if you would prefer to contact BACP directly, please email jessica.baxter@bacp.co.uk

This event is free to BACP members and will provide a unique opportunity to connect with other practitioners and BACP, air any concerns you may have and discuss local issues whilst also receiving some valuable CPD via an ethical masterclass and keynote speaker. General details for the series are available now on the dedicated event website www.bacp.co.uk/makingconnections.  More specific details about the Belfast event will appear shortly.  You can register your interest in attending the event by clicking on the Belfast link.

Further information will be posted on nitherapy.net when we receive it.
