Locum Community Counsellors ( All Health Trust Areas)
£30–£35 per session
To complete our Locum Bank we invite applications from qualified Counsellors with at least two years post qualifying supervised practice in a formal setting. Contact Locum Counsellors are deployed to provide clinical assessment, crisis de–escalation, trauma resource and brief solution focused therapy interventions.
We particularly welcome applications for counselling provision in the following areas:

Locum Creative Arts Therapists (All Health Trust Areas)
£40 per session
Contact retains a bank of experienced Locum Creative Arts Therapists enhancing our regional Creative Therapy Trauma Team, enabling provision to children and adults when talk therapy may prove difficult. Experienced in working with children and vulnerable adults, you will hold a recognised Creative Therapy graduate or post–graduate qualification with at least two years supervised practice in a formal setting.

Locum Play Therapists (All Health Trust Areas)
£30–35 per session
Contact retain a bank of experienced Locum Play Therapists who assist our regional Creative Therapy Trauma Team in delivering face to face play therapy to children under the age of 11. Experienced in working with children, you will hold a recognised Play Therapy Diploma with at least two years supervised practice in a formal setting.

Locum Family Therapists (All Health Trust Areas)
£40 per session
To enable effective family support and assessment at times of crisis we wish to extend our small Locum Family Therapy team for Lifeline and other Contact projects by recruitment of UKCP registered Family Therapists. Family Therapists would be deployed for regionally and have experience of working with families experiencing trauma, distress or despair.

Locum Telephone Counsellors (North West)
£150 per 8–hour shift
To expand Lifeline’s 24/7 crisis telephone counselling team based in our Therapy Centre, at Strand Road, L’Derry we require qualified counsellors with at least one year’s post–supervision practice providing 8–hour Lifeline shifts, Sunday & Monday nights 12pm–8am, Wednesday & Thursday daytime 8am–4pm and Saturday 4pm–12am. In return we provide excellent training, supervision, a welcoming, supportive workplace and competitive Locum fees.

Clinical Placements (All Health Trust Areas)
We are seeking to recruit a bank of trainee counsellors and creative / play therapists as Clinical Placements. Eligibility criteria include the capacity to remain calm and focussed when working with people in distress. While Clinical Placements with Contact are voluntary, with four hours per week optimum commitment, we provide excellent CPD recognised training and clinical supervision.
We welcome applications from counselling diploma/degree under–graduates who have successfully completed their first year or from those who have successfully completed a counselling diploma and are working towards BACP accreditation.
We require all Clinical Placements to complete our mandatory induction training programme the full details of which are listed below.

Download an application pack using the links above and return by 4.00pm on Monday 30th January 2012. CVs will not be accepted. Interviews will be held week commencing Monday 13th February, w/c Monday 21st February and w/c 28th February.

Contact Training Days
Contact training days are mandatory for all Clinical Placements and Locum Counsellors and Therapists.
The full package of intensive experiential training courses will cost £300 (standalone training days will be £100 each). Training fees will be reimbursed to successful Clinical Placement candidates on completion of an 18–month clinical placement and reimbursed to Locum Counsellors and Therapists on completion of 80 face to face sessions.
