Male victims of domestic violence and abuse wanted for research
Deadline for participation now extended to end of May 2010
The Men’s Advisory Project (MAP) is a charity offering counselling for males experiencing domestic violence and abuse or relationship breakdown.
MAP is currently seeking adult male victims of domestic violence and abuse across Northern Ireland, to participate in confidential case study interviews to examine the experience and needs of this invisible population, with the aim of recommending improvements in service provision for these men.
We would like agencies in Northern Ireland to help us by
- Helping raise awareness of the research and signposting men to MAP. If possible we would like you to print off and display the attached poster, or contact Daryl on 02890 241929 for additional posters and information packs to help us advertise.
- Forwarding this information to people within your organisation and to other agencies/organisations within your network (especially those who may have an interest)
- Distributing the information to your service users to allow them the opportunity to get involved.
For additional information on this research and on MAP services, please visit www.mapni.co.uk.
For more detailed information on the research, and information on confidentiality, please feel free to contact Daryl 02890 241929 to discuss further. Thank you for your support and time in taking this important work forward
