Practice Placements: Nexus Institute
The NEXUS Institute offers counselling placements to trainee counsellors to enable them to develop their skills through clinical practice. Placements must commit to a minimum of one year, for approximately four hours a week. The NEXUS Institute will provide professional supervision and additional training at minimum cost to placements.
Entry Requirements:
- Prospective placements have completed at least one year of a diploma counselling course working towards a Diploma. Equivalence might be considered.
- Placements are required to have a minimum of fifty hours supervised counselling practice.
Application Procedure:
- Prospective placements are required to complete an application form supported by references.
- Meet with a member of staff for an informal discussion.
- Attendance at a workshop providing further information. This provides an opportunity for questions and offers a forum for mutual assessment before commitment on either side.
