Cruse Bereavement Care N.I. are running a one-day workshop on Supporting Bereaved Children & Young People on Saturday 21st April 2012.
This workshop has been designed to promote awareness and understanding of the impact death can have on children and young people, and to increase the confidence of learners to work effectively and communicate appropriately with bereaved children and young people. It will be delivered by experienced Trainers and you will receive a certificate of attendance (It is not yet accredited, but can count towards Continuing Personal Development).

Locum Community Counsellors ( All Health Trust Areas)
£30–£35 per session
To complete our Locum Bank we invite applications from qualified Counsellors with at least two years post qualifying supervised practice in a formal setting. Contact Locum Counsellors are deployed to provide clinical assessment, crisis de–escalation, trauma resource and brief solution focused therapy interventions.

ChildLine, the NSPCC’s free, 24-hour helpline for children and young people, is urgently seeking local volunteers in for shifts on Wednesday mornings and Saturday afternoons and evenings at its Belfast base.
ChildLine gives volunteer counsellors initial training in counselling skills and child protection. Following successful completion of this training, ChildLine offers support during counselling, ongoing training and for experienced counsellors, further opportunities to develop their skills.

New Life Counselling are currently seeking to recruit Clinical Supervisors, Sessional Counsellors and Sessional Specialist Counsellors to deliver high quality therapy services as part of its existing provision.

1 Full Time Assistant Team Leader/School Counsellor (Independent Counselling Service for Schools)

Quality Training UK have still some places available on the Post-Qualifying Diploma in Counselling Children & Young People running in September in Belfast.
The course is designed to encourage participants who have successfully undertaken a Diploma in Counselling, (minimum of 450 hours of training) and can show evidence of working in a professional capacity in the community, particularly with children or adolescents, to continue their professional and personal development in the field of counselling.
